Patron Saint Festivities of the Virgen de Peñarroya

The sanctuary is located 30 km. from the town in the Castle of Peñarroya. The Solaneros share the image with Argamasilla de Alba. On the second Saturday of September, we celebrate the pilgrimage to bring the patron saint to La Solana, transforming the “Castillo” into a village during that weekend. The next Sunday after San Antón the image returns to its sanctuary in the Castle.
