San Juan Bautista Church

Ancient Convent of the Discalced Trinitarian Order, founded in 1624, of which only this church (rebuilt in 1970) and the elevated passageway that crosses Arco del Convento street remain. It is representative of the baroque style with a classicist tendency; it has a nave with half-sphere vaulted side chapels and a cupola on a drum that replaces the original dome over the transept, which no longer exists. Its façade is surmounted by a triangular pediment and the linteled doorway is flanked by carved festoon pilasters.
