Vinícola de Villarrobledo

Vinícola de Villarrobledo was created after the merging in 1997 of two other companies founded in the 1950s. Today it has more than 300 members and nearly 2,500 hectares of high-quality vineyards, very old and on trellises, of different varieties, the most important being airén in white, and tempranillo in red.

Modern facilities with the latest advances in technology and a great team of professionals make possible that the quality of the wines that are produced is constantly improving, with plantations that meet quality standards and with partners who have become more and more professional in controlling the cultivation of the vines.

“We make wines that are friendly, pleasing to all palates, balanced, fresh and frank, thought to be enjoyed by all types of public and which also enjoy a wide range of awards and recognitions”, explains Julián García, manager of the cooperative.

Its emblematic brand is “Don Octavio”, produced and bottled under the Denominación de Origen Mancha.

In its range of young wines you can enjoy 4 white wines (Airén, Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc and a coupage of 5 varieties), a rosé (Tempranillo) and 3 red wines (Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon), as well as a 6 Months in Barrel and a Crianza.

The winery’s latest project and revolutionary challenge is the production of wines in can format under its ENCINARES brand. This idea originated from the need to find new formats to bring its wines closer to the largest number of people and markets possible. After almost one year and a half of research, tests and trials they have achieved a canned wine of excellent quality of which they are very proud.
