Old manor house, the building was remodelled, and is currently a multifunctional space, which hosts several municipal services, such as the Art Center, the Library, the Women’s Center, etc… One of the most characteristic elements of Socuéllamos is preserved in the building, an old chimney, a relic of many distilleries that dotted the city.
The Art Center includes part of the cultural heritage of Socuéllamos, from prehistory to the present day, with a permanent exhibition of regional archaeology located on the first floor. Here we can find fossils found in different places in the surrounding area. The collection is completed with ceramics pieces of Iberian-Roman terra sigillata, as well as some pieces from the medieval period.
The permanent exhibition also includes a wide collection of paintings and sculptures by various artists and sculptors who have exhibited in the town over the years.
