House of Andrés López-Muñoz

House of Andrés López-Muñoz

VILLARROBLEDO
This building is considered the oldest house in Villarrobledo. It is estimated to be the first house built by the town’s founders, the López-Muñoz family, between the end of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century.
It is a two-storey manor house with a 19th-century addition that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the building.

The 16th-century façade is a Renaissance stone façade crowned by the coat of arms of the López-Muñoz family.

The crosses above the upper windows belong to the Dominican Order, who used it as the seat of the Holy Office.
